Paul Savage

Paul is an honours graduate from University College Dublin's Electronic Engineering Faculty. He initially worked on numerous mobile telecommunications projects within Logica and with mobile operators worldwide. These early projects in the intelligent networks sector of Logica's business fired an interest in cutting edge mobile technologies that fuelled his decision to move into Logica's mobile Internet research team. There he concentrated exclusively on the mobile Internet in the two years prior to the establishment of his own company, Speirtech, in 2000.

In Speirtech he spent time consulting to a major UK bookmaker in the area of mobile services and then proceeded to develop a complete mobile gaming solution. In the years 2001 to 2004 he built up an eight man company and achieved a global first with a release of mobile games on the Paddy Power web-site. These games enabled secure betting transactions without compromising on playability through the use of clever user interactions and a secure mobile centric architecture.

Recently Paul joined the commercialisation team within Waterford Institute of Technologies TSSG and will drive the development of IMS services as IMS-Stream delivers on the promise of IMS.
